Chinese steamed fish

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole Rockfish ( 2lbs)

  • 3 green onion sliced long ways

  • 1 cup cilantro chopped

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp sake

  • 1 tbsp black vinegar 

  • 3 tbsp avocado oil

Step by step:

  1. Add 2” water to large pot, cover and boil. Once boiling, steam fish and cover for ~15 minutes.

  2. Dependent on size of fish. Our fish was caught live so it didn’t need much… 8 minutes total! If frozen approx. 12-18 minutes needed.

  3. While you wait, add all the ingredients of sauce together in a small bowl (except the oil).

  4. Once fish is done, add fresh green onion and cilantro on top and pour the sauce on top.

  5. Heat 3 tbsp avocado oil until very hot and put it on top! Serve and enjoy!
