HOMEMADE BBQ FOR ONE
Step by step:
Healthy BBQ Sauce ( 1 Cup):
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.
Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Reduce heat to low and let it cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened slightly.
Taste and adjust: Add more vinegar for tang, maple for sweetness, or spices for heat.
Note: Let it cool before using—it’ll thicken more as it sits. Keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Homemade BBQ Chicken Drumstick:
In a large bowl, drizzle the drumsticks with olive oil.
Preheat your Ninja Crispi Air Fryer to 390°F (198°C) for about 3 minutes
Place the drumsticks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
Cook at 390°F (198°C) for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through (8 minutes per side).
After 16 minutes, brush each drumstick generously with BBQ sauce.
Return them to the air fryer and cook for an additional 6 minutes, flipping halfway through (3 minutes per side) to caramelize the sauce
Once done, remove the drumsticks from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
Serve hot with your favorite sides.
Corn Ribs:
Shuck and clean the corn on the cob
Slice them long ways to look like ribs (use a sharp knife, be EXTREMELY careful!)
Drizzle them with olive oil and pop them into the air fryer at 400°F for 10-12 minutes flipping them half way though!
Serve with some extra butter and top with cotija cheese!
Arugula Salad with Grilled Peaches
Wash & dry the peaches
Cup the peaches in half & remove the pit
Start cut-side down for 5–7 minutes at 375°F, then flip cut-side up for the last 3–5 minutes with a brush of butter + sugar/honey
While your peaches cook, wash and dry the arugula and cut the cherry tomatoes in half
Assemble the salad on your favorite plate, dress with olive oil and balsamic and top with your grilled peaches! Enjoy!
