Easy Beef & Pork Bolognese

Ingredient:

  • 1 brown onion, diced

  • 1 cup celery, diced

  • 1 cup carrots, diced

  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 pound of ground pork

  • 1 pound of ground beef

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 1/2 cup red wine

  • 2 tbs tomato paste

  • S&P to taste

  • 3 tbs olive oil

Step by step:

  1. Add onion with butter and olive oil

  2. Cook til translucent, add carrots and celery, mix

  3. Once softened, crumble in ground beef and pork

  4. Mix til half cooked

  5. Then add wine and tomato paste

  6. Once wine has evaporated about 5-7 min, add chicken broth

  7. Then cover and simmer for at least 45 minutes over low heat. Check every 30 minutes and stir so the bottom doesn’t burn!

  8. Boil choice of pasta and add sauce on top. I love adding chili oil and green onion on mine !
