Having a bowl of piping hot oatmeal on a fall morning is seriously the most comforting thing ever. This recipe is inspired by Sha's caramel oats with a chai twist and tastes like heaven. It's naturally sweet from the dates which gives it its caramel flavor and the coconut milk is probably the best part of it all. Just try it and you'll see :)

INGREDIENTS : 1/4 cup quick cooking oats, 1 cup water, 2 dates torn and pitted, dash of cinnamon, 2 drops of vanilla extract, 1 -2 tbsp of chai tea powder mix, and 2 splashes of coconut can milk.

METHOD: Cook the oats, dates, water, cinnamon, and vanilla over high heat until it reaches a boil. Turn down the heat to low and simmer for about 9 minutes stirring and smoothing the dates until creamy. Splash in the coconut milk and add the chai tea and mix well. Cook another minute and serve warm with banana, strawberry, and coconut sugar. 

This is one of my GO-TO recipes for oatmeal. You can always change up the flavors by adding banana, matcha, maqui berry powder, etc. Hope you love it. Enjoy ;) !
