New York | Dinner Party & Sunset Run

On Monday I flew to New York to attend the Manhattanhendge Sunset mile run with @MichelobULTRA
It was my 2nd time in NY this month o_O!
As soon as I arrived, I checked into The Hyatt Union Square- the room was very comfy with a great view and an open bathroom layout.
I met with Jera @workoutbean and special guest @SpicyGrandpa and took an uber to Chinae @GetFitBrooklyn 's new apartment for a dinner party/SCP reunion/girls night.
When we got there, she had an array of fresh farmer grown veggies - radishes & cucumber slices as 'chips' with a delicious home made guac. Soo healthy!
We enjoyed the appetizers in her huge backyard with watermelon mint cucumber infused water and a glass of rose. Afterwards she brought out a delicious roasted peach, arugula, fresh basil, and mozzarella flat bread toasted to perfection.
After catching up, talking to her nice neighbors, and a few slices of flatbread later, we headed inside for the main course.
She prepared a beautiful cod dish infused with coconut milk, lime & basil, satayed bok choy and squash. Everything was SooO SO good! Ah I'm so impressed with you Clippie!
For dessert we had pink lemonade ice cream cones and just chillaxed with Spicy G. It was one of the most memorable nights I've had in a long time. xxoxo

The next day, I made plans to meet up with Stephanie of @stephanie.h.park for lunch. We went to the cutest cafe with the most delicious macro bowls. She also interviewed me for her blog -which will come out sometime in August.

Later, I walked over to Union Square Park to meet up with the Michelob team. Chinae was the emcee and lead a stretch before the mile run. All the NY squad girls were there too! So we all ran together (well sorta) I was trekking it at the very end with my backpack and heavy camera lol to capture the Manhattanhendge sunset- which was SO beautiful. It's a solstice that only occurs twice a year where the setting sun is aligned with the east-west streets of the city.

Afterwards, we headed to CATCH bar for an afterparty and enjoyed dinner, snacks and drinks.

It was short but sweet friend-filled trip. x
